Built by Bricklayers, for Bricklayers

Paragon Tools is Ireland’s first dedicated bricklaying and masonry tool supplier — the one stop brickie shop. The name was chosen deliberately: a paragon is a model of excellence, and that’s the standard for every tool on this site. Irish-owned and run by tradespeople, every tool we stock has been tried and tested on real jobs, because we’ve used them ourselves.

Paragon Tools was founded by Paul Garvey, a bricklayer who served his four-year apprenticeship with Cosgrove Developments in Dublin before heading to Australia in 2011 — a short trip that turned into seven years. Working on Australian sites, Paul ran his first company, ACT Brick & Rock, with his cousin in Canberra, and discovered something Irish bricklaying didn’t have: the profile system. Simple lengths of box-section steel and aluminium that made brickwork faster, straighter and more consistent, so standard in Australia it’s part of the apprenticeship.

When Paul came home in 2018, he found what every returning bricklayer finds: there was nowhere in Ireland to buy this gear, and nowhere specialising in bricklaying tools at all. You couldn’t get what you needed in one visit, or two. So in February 2019, Paragon Masonry Tools was born — to bring world-class bricklaying tools to Ireland and raise the standard of what’s available to the trade.

Today we supply professional bricklayers, masonry contractors and serious self-builders across Ireland and the UK from our base in Co. Meath — with 2–3 day delivery, because we know the tools you order today are on the wall by the end of the week.

BT Engineering Exclusivity

Exclusive Irish Supplier of BT Engineering Tools

We’re the only place in Ireland you can buy BT Engineering tools — premium, Australian-manufactured equipment we first used on sites in Australia and knew Irish bricklayers needed. Top Steady Clamps, Sliding G Clamps, aluminium profile box sections, Dori Blocks and more: tools built for speed and accuracy that simply aren’t available anywhere else in the Irish market.

Our Promise

Tried and tested not just stocked

We don’t list tools we wouldn’t carry in our own van. Everything in the shop has been used by professional tradespeople, on real brickwork, in Irish weather. If it doesn’t perform, we don’t sell it. That’s the difference between a tool supplier and a tool user who supplies.
